Foal & Weanling SERVICES

 
We offer full-service foaling services for over 25 mares per year.  Mares arrive 15-30 days prior to their due date, have daily turnout alone or with 1-2 other foaling mares and are monitored closely.  We use Breeder Alert halter foaling monitors as well as camera monitor stalls.  Newborn foals receive a physical with Dr. Todd Gilbert, Pleasantview Animal Clinic within the first 24 hrs and an on-farm IgG blood test to make sure they achieve immunity from their dam.  Foals are imprinted, handled daily and kept with their mother during all breeding & ultrasounding activities.  They are introduced to halters and leading. Our customers are always happy with their "baby training" before returning to their home farm.

TCF offers weaning services as well as "boot camp" for weanlings, yearlings & 2 year olds each Aug-Feb.  Youngsters are worked with daily as well as having healthy turnout time.  We work with them on general manners, clipping, bathing, lounging, trailer loading & blanketing.  We have an on-site baby sitter - miniature donkey "Waylon" who is always available for orphans & weanlings.
